What we need to know by Tracy Rollings
I was sitting in the yard, enjoying the sun
just trying to let my, imagination run wild
you called me in the house, showed me a gun
it was the stupidest thing, to show a child.
Said we were going hunting, and have some fun
if you only knew the thoughts, running in my mind
had a real bad feeling, that I was one that would run
cause it wasn't funny, you were shooting at my behind.
You came home and laughed, guess you had a ball
telling all your friends, about the fun you had that day
but to be honest with you, it wasn't really funny at all
tell you the truth i hated the games you like to play.
Like the day at the river, when we were away from the bank
you knew I couldn't swim, but you threw me in anyway
and again you thought it was funny, as I started to sink
hadn't been for that man in the boat, I would have die that day.
You never stop to even think, of all the dumb things you do
you never gave it a thought, what would ever happen to me
all the things that I say about you, they knew it was all true
and now I will tell the rest of the world, for everyone else to see.
CHILD ABUSE IS SOMETHING THAT IS TAKEN TO LIGHTLY
AND THE PEOPLE THAT COMMIT IT SHOULD HAVE TO PAY.
IT IS SOMETHING THAT NO CHILD, SHOULD EVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH.
YET SO MANY ARE ABUSED, AND WE HAVE TO PUT A STOP TO IT. SO IF YOU SEE OR KNOW OF A CHILD DEALING WITH ABUSE, PLEASE DO YOUR PART TO HELP PUT A STOP IT. I KNOW YOU WOULDN'T WANT YOUR CHILD TO GO THROUGH IT, , , , , , , , , , , , THANK YOU

cars.. he was a leader,

I Wrote an Awful Poem by Kenn Nesbitt
I wrote an awful poem;
it was bad in the extreme.
I showed it to my sister
and it made my sister scream.
I gave it to my mother
and she promptly flipped her lid.
My father blew a gasket,
and my baby brother hid.
I brought my poem with me
when I came to school today.
My teacher nearly fainted
and my friends all ran away.
I never knew a poem could be
such amazing fun,
but that was such a blast,
I think I'll write another one.
